Description of mountain:
Patscherkofel is a broad and panoramic mountain rising above Innsbruck, the capital of the Austrian state of Tyrol. It is one of the most popular destinations in the wider area, as it can be ascended in all seasons—a cable car runs up to nearly 2,000 meters, and in winter its slopes host a popular ski area that also hosted the Olympic Games in 1964 and 1976. Due to its rounded shape and moderate slopes, the mountain is accessible from numerous directions while renowned as an exceptional vantage point, especially toward Innsbruck and the Inn Valley, the Nordkette ridge, and the Stubai Alps.
