Planina Možine (Razingerjevo molzišče)

Description of mountain pasture:
Planina Možine, known locally among residents since time immemorial as Razingerjevo molzišče, is located on the southwestern slopes of the 1835 m high Golica. From the mountain pasture where the shepherd's hut of the agrarian community stands, we enjoy a beautiful view of part of the Julian Alps and the nearby Klek. Due to the rich pastoral history and errors on old topographic maps, several different names are intertwined for this area today. The officially recorded name Planina Možine originates from the times when mainly oxen and working livestock were grazed on these pastures, which is why the term Volovska planina is also used for it. Today, a sign on a small, renovated wooden hut at the edge of the forest, which we pass just before arriving at the open part of the pasture, reminds hikers of this history. Since the agrarian community today grazes mainly small livestock on these slopes, an official sign with the inscription Ovčarska planina Golica has been placed on site. Therefore, among mountaineers and in mountain descriptions, the simple and well-known name Ovčarska koča has become established for the local shepherd's hut.
