Rifugio Onorio Falier

Description of mountain hut:
Rifugio Onorio Falier mountain hut is situated at an altitude of 2074 meters in the Valle di Ombretta valley below the mighty south wall of Marmolada. From the hut there is a very nice view towards Cima Ombretta summit and the mentioned Marmolada wall. The hut was first built in 1914, destroyed during the First World War, then rebuilt in 1939. The hut has 44 beds and is usually open from 20 June to 20 September. When the hut is closed, a winter room with 4 beds is available.
