Školj Svetega Pavla is situated on a panoramic hill above the village Vrtovin, west from Ajdovščina. From the church, near of which there is an inscription box is a nice view towards Kucelj, Čaven, Nanos and Vipava valley. On the southern slopes of this hill, there is situated 11 meters high water tower, which is part of the Roman history.
