Description of mountain:
Stari grad (also known as Smlednik Castle) is located on a small hill southwest of Valburga. In recent years, the castle has been renovated and nearby trees cleared, opening up a nice view from the summit on parts of the Kamnik-Savinja Alps, Polhograjsko hribovje, Sorško polje, Škofjeloško hribovje, and on clear days the Julian Alps and parts of the western and central Karawanks.
Just a few meters below the summit is a refreshment stand with an inscription box nearby. Between the stand and the castle there is also a short climbing path leading to the castle walls.
