Somló

Description of mountain:
Somló is a former volcano located in Veszprém County between the towns of Ajka and Jánosháza. It often goes unnoticed as it stands solitary in the heart of the plain. The hill is known for its vineyards. Despite its relatively low elevation, its location makes it an exceptional viewpoint in all directions.
The ruins of the once mighty Somlóvár Castle are located on the northern part of the volcano.
