Description of mountain:
The Church of St. Marjeta sits atop a promontory not far from the village of Golo in the Mokrško hribovje hills south of Ig. Archaeological finds show that this strategically located promontory was settled at least since the Iron Age. Today's church was built about two centuries ago on the site of an earlier medieval structure. The church is surrounded by a walled village cemetery.
Near the "štirna" close to the church is a somewhat weathered bench with table, and right by the cemetery entrance is a newer so-called love seat.
Although the promontory is fully grassy and ends in steep slopes on three sides (except the south), views are limited by trees on the slopes and not as expansive as the terrain might allow; still, nearby hills are quite visible, and for a better southerly view, one can proceed toward the village of Golo south of the church.
An asphalt road from nearby Gole leads to the church, which has a sizable parking area in front; it can also be reached via an unmarked trail from Želimlje, roughly 300 meters lower.
