Sveti Nikola

Description of church:
St. Nicholas Church is located on the slopes of Biokovo, north of Brela, at an elevation of 572 m.
It is believed to have been built between 1200 and 1500 and is the oldest church in Brela.
The church is 11.50 m long and 5.30 m wide. It is constructed in Gothic style from irregularly hewn stone blocks covered with plaster.
During the Yugoslav era, the church fell into disrepair. In 1998, restoration began. Within less than two years, the church was fully restored.
