Description:
Rifugio Casoni Solarie is a mountain hut at an altitude of 956 meters located in the Julian Alps mountain range. The mountain hut is located 1.9 km east-southeast from the center of Drenchia / Dreka and 4 km south-southwest from the center of Volarje near the border with Slovenia. The nearest peak is Platena, which is located 0.5km vzhodno-severovzhodno. The monument Monumento a Riccardo di Giusto primo caduto della Grande Guerra is also located near the mountain hut. East-southeast of the mountain hut is the valley Baška grapa. The mountain hut is located below Catena del Monte Colovrat.
