The mountain hut is located 1.3 km southwest from the center of St. Veit an der Gölsen and 4 km east-southeast from the center of Traisen and 4 km northwest of peak Sengenebenberg. The nearest peak is Staff, which is located 0.6km jugo-jugozahodno. South of the mountain hut is the valley Steigengraben.
