Bocchetta del Pilastro is a saddle at an altitude of 2800 meters and is part of the Natural Park Adamello-Brenta. The saddle is located 1.0 km south-southwest of peak Cima dell'Artigliere. The nearest mountain hut is Rifugio Val Di Fumo, located 3km south-southeast. Closer is bivouac Bivacco Ceco Baroni, which is located 2km to the north. 7 km northeast of the saddle there is lake Lago di Lares. The saddle is located above the valley Val di Fumo.
