The saddle is located 6 km east from the center of Gemmersdorf and 7 km northeast from the center of Sankt Georgen im Lavanttal. The nearest mountain hut is Bodenhütte, located 1.7km east-northeast. bivouac Hotel Kar is also relatively close. The saddle is located on the ridge Jauk.
