Description:
Biking in Schilcherland starting in Eibiswald. Through the West Styrian vineyards. The tour has many intervals and passes several Buschenschanks, the asphalt share is higher than offroad - but 10 km trail share! Several refreshment opportunities, we stopped at Schmuckbauerwirt before continuing offroad to the highest point of the tour - past Schirchleralm (also a stop) and on the signposted MTB route - in the upper part follows a strenuous trail uphill - before finishing on gravel road to Brendlalm 1,566 m. Unfortunately bad luck, the hut was temporarily closed due to illness. Otherwise a welcome stop in a magnificent location. From here starts the trail downhill through the forest with some S2 sections. Cross the ascent 2x, finally along a piece of the ascent before continuing the trail. After 10 km reach the access road and follow it to St. Oswald, until just before the final downhill back to Eibiswald reach Buschenschank Garber. Definitely stop - in a dreamlike location - Slovenian border not far - enjoy the homemade culinary delights with a magnificent Schilcher. After 1,750 Uphill-Hm/56 km we deserved it well!
