A mega cool MTB tour starting in Kapellen near Mürzzuschlag. First we roll comfortably on asphalt road 3 km to Altenberg an der Rax. From here continuously steeply ascending on gravel road to 'Auf der Öd' and short transition to Schneealm toll road - this to Schneealpe parking lots. From barrier it gets really steep - 400 Hm on 4 km - with e-bike and own muscle power quite hardcore. Finally reach the magnificent high plateau of Schneealpe and Schneealpenhaus with its top location invites even more to extended stop on such a beautiful day. With delicious lung strudel and wild garlic cream soup and subsequent Linzer torte with coffee and as special highlight a 'Maiwipferlbier' we enjoy the glorious panorama and deep view into the strenuous ascent. The downhill leads us back same way with 3 small counter-uphills to Schneealpe parking. As further downhill today over hiking trail - since weekday and no hikers around. The trail is really hammer! Finest flowtrail fun, virtually without obstacles, partly on narrow and relatively steep path. We emerge at transition to toll road and ride short back until next junction Michlbauer hiking trail. Over hollow way in sinking flight to Michlbauer road and over Schneealm toll road to Neuberg an der Mürz and bike path back to Kapellen: 1200 Uphill Hm/28 km
