The saddle is located 4 km west from the center of Donnersbachwald and 7 km north from the center of Sankt Nikolai im Sölktal. The nearest mountain hut is Englitztalhütte, located 3km north. A little further is bivouac Fleiß Schwarzlechnerbrücke. The saddle is located northeast of the valley Rantengraben.
