Description:
Marchkarscharte is a saddle at an altitude of 2380 meters located in the High Tauern mountain range. The saddle is located 1.4 km west of peak Weinschnabel. The nearest mountain hut is Osnabrücker Hütte, located 6km southwest. A bit closer is bivouac Albert-Biwak, which is located 3km to the north-northeast. 7 km west-southwest from the saddle there is glacier Kleinelendkees. The saddle is located above the valley Maltatal.
