Brandberg is 1074 meter high peak in the mountain group Totes Gebirge. The peak is located 10 km south from the center of Grünau im Almtal and 13 km west-southwest of Steyrling and 5 km south-southwest of peak Kasberg. The nearest mountain hut is Almtalerhaus, located 4km east-southeast. A little further is bivouac Almtal Naturwildpark. West-southwest of the summit is the valley Rettenbachtal.
