Carè Alto is 3462 meter high peak with a cross and is part of the Natural Park Adamello-Brenta. The peak is located 10 km west-northwest from the center of Javrè and 10 km west-northwest from the center of Pelugo. The nearest mountain hut is Rifugio Carè Alto, located 3km east. A little further is bivouac Bivacco Ceco Baroni. 4 km north-northeast of the peak there is lake Lago di Lares. 0.5 km east-southeast from the summit there is glacier Vedretta Orientale del Carè Alto, 0.6 km south-southwest from the summit there is also glacier Vedretta Sud-Occ. del Carè Alto. The peak is located east-northeast of the valley Val di Fumo.
