Cima Pontevecchio is 3179 meter high peak in the National Park Stelvio. The peak is located 3 km south of peak Cima Careser. The nearest mountain hut is Malga Stablaz alta, located 3km southeast. Closer is bivouac Baito Campisol Alto, which is located 2km to the northeast. 0.5 km east-southeast of the peak there is lake Laghetto Cima Ponte Vecchio. 5 km northwest from the summit there is glacier Ultenmarktferner - Vedretta Ultima. The peak is located northeast of the valley Val dela Mare.
