The peak is located 4 km northwest from the center of Schratzbach and 6 km south-southeast from the center of Sankt Lambrecht. The nearest mountain hut is Dreiwiesenhütte, located 0.9km north. And bivouac Neumarkt Mariahofer Kreuzung is also close by. The peak is located north of the valley Metnitztal.
