Description:
Gabelekopf is 2289 meter high peak located in the Carnic Alps mountain range. The peak is located 8 km west-northwest from the center of Timau and 8 km south-southeast from the center of Nostra. The nearest mountain hut is Rifugio Giovanni e Olinto Marinelli, located 2km south-southwest. A bit closer is bivouac Caverna dell'Amicizia - Bivacco Celso Craighero, which is located 0.7km to the southwest. 0.5 km west-southwest from the summit there is glacier Eiskar. Southeast of the summit is the valley Valle del But.
