The nearest mountain hut is Buchberghütte, located 4km south-southwest. A bit closer is bivouac Unterstand Hochplett, which is located 0.5km to the east. 7 km west of the peak there is lake Mondsee. South-southwest of the summit is the valley Klausbach.
