Grüntalkogel is 886 meter high peak and is part of the Türnitz Alps. The peak is located 1.7 km south from the center of St. Gotthard and 3 km south from the center of Texing. At the top there is also mountain hut Grüntalkogelhütte. bivouac Infostand Gemeinde Texing is also relatively close. South-southwest of the summit is the valley Klausgraben.
