Hochbrand is 1242 meter high peak in the Upper Austrian Prealps. The peak is located 4 km northwest from the center of Altenmarkt bei Sankt Gallen and 5 km north-northwest from the center of Weißenbach an der Enns. The nearest mountain hut is Schüttbauernalm, located 1.8km west-northwest. bivouac St. Gallen Steiner is also relatively close. East-southeast of the summit is the valley Frenzgraben.
