Description:
Hochschauer is 1216 meter high peak in the Ybbstal Alps. The peak is located 2 km east from the center of Neuhaus and 7 km west-southwest from the center of Mitterbach-Seerotte. The nearest mountain hut is Terzerhaus, located 4km northeast. A bit closer is Möserhütte, which is located 3km to the west. 5 km east of the peak there is lake Erlaufsee. The peak is located east-northeast of the valley Im Tiefen Grund.
