The peak is located 5 km west from the center of Mariensee and 8 km west-southwest from the center of St. Peter am Wechsel. The nearest mountain hut is Wetterkoglerhaus, located 0.1km east. Kranichberger Schwaig is also relatively close. The peak is located zahodno-severozahodno above the mountain pasture Hofalm. The peak is located southeast of the valley Talergraben and zahodno-severozahodno above the mountain pasture Hofalm.
