The peak is located 3 km north-northeast from the center of Bad Goisern and 3 km north from the center of Stambach. The nearest mountain hut is Rathlucken Hütte, located 1.3km southwest. bivouac Bad Goisern Kurhotel is a bit further away. The peak is located southwest of the valley Rettenbachtal.
