The peak is located 2 km east-northeast from the center of Kathal in Obdachegg and 3 km north-northwest from the center of Sankt Georgen in Obdachegg. The nearest mountain hut is Weißensteinhütte, located 8km southeast. A little further is bivouac Murdorf Südtirolerstraße. West-southwest of the summit is the valley Görtschitztal.
