Kogel is 1122 meter high peak located in the Karawanks mountain range. The peak is located 3 km southeast of peak Rosenkogel / Hruški vrh. The nearest mountain hut is Koča na Golici, located 3km northeast. Mokotova bajta is a bit further away. Southwest of the summit is the valley Stresena dolina.
