Loser is 1144 meter high peak and is part of the Upper Austrian Prealps. The peak is located 2 km east from the center of Ebensee and 4 km south-southeast from the center of Traunkirchen. The nearest mountain hut is Sonnsteinhütte, located 2km northwest. A bit closer is Spitzlsteinalm, which is located 0.4km to the east. The peak is located east-northeast of the valley Weißenbachtal.
