Messnerin is 1835 meter high peak with a cross in the Hochschwab Mountains. The peak is located 3 km north from the center of Tragöß - Oberort and 4 km north from the center of Tal. The nearest mountain hut is Joser-Alm, located 2.0km north-northwest. A little further is bivouac Fleischer-Biwak. Northeast of the summit is the valley Höllgraben.
