Mlateč is 516 meter high peak. The peak is located 3 km east-northeast from the center of Ponikve and 3 km northeast from the center of Avber. The nearest mountain hut is Eko Koča Nanos, located 9km east. A little further is Koča. The peak is located west of the valley Vipavska dolina.
