Ortler - Ortles is 3905 meter high peak with a cross and is part of the National Park Stelvio. The peak is located 4 km southwest from the center of Sulden - Solda and 6 km south-southeast from the center of Trafoi. The nearest mountain hut is Payerhütte - Rifugio Payer, located 2km north. A bit closer is bivouac Tschierfeck Biwak am Ortler, which is located 1.2km to the north-northwest. 1.8 km south-southwest from the summit there is glacier Vedretta dello Zebrù - Zebruferner, 2.0 km west-southwest from the summit there is also glacier Zirkusferner - Vedretta del Circo. The peak is located west-southwest of the valley Suldental.
