The peak is located 1.8 km east-northeast from the center of Rosenau am Hengstpaß and 5 km east from the center of Edlbach. The nearest mountain hut is Hengstpasshütte, located 4km east-southeast. Closer is bivouac Rosenau am Hengstpass Bauhof, which is located 1.5km to the west-southwest. East of the summit is the valley Frenzgraben.
