Plangeroßspitze is 2942 meter high peak and is part of the Ötztal Alps. The peak is located in country Austria 3 km east-southeast of peak Hintere Gebhardspitze. The nearest mountain hut is Nassereiner Alm, located 2km northeast. A little further is bivouac Holzer Hütte. 5 km east from the summit there is glacier Bliggferner, 9 km northeast from the summit there is also glacier Wazebachferner.
