Planjava is 685 meter high peak. The peak is located 1.4 km south-southwest from the center of Blagovica and 1.5 km south from the center of Mali Jelnik. The nearest mountain hut is Dom na Zgornji Slivni, located 5km south. A bit closer is bivouac Bivak Špilk, which is located 4km to the north-northeast. The peak is located northeast of the valley Ljubljansko barje.
