Veliki hrib is 763 meter high peak. The peak is located 2 km east of peak Limbarska gora. The nearest mountain hut is Dom na Zgornji Slivni, located 5km south. Closer is Taborniška koča, which is located 4km to the southwest. Southwest of the summit is the valley Ljubljansko barje.
