Description:
Platteikogel is 3426 meter high peak in the Natural Park Ötztal. The peak is located 5 km west from the center of Vent and 13 km north-northeast of Kurzras - Maso Corto. The nearest mountain hut is Vernagthütte, located 2km southwest. A little further is bivouac Ramolalm. 1.7 km north-northeast from the summit there is glacier Mitterkarferner, 8 km northeast from the summit there is also glacier Tiefenbachferner. The peak is located south-southeast of the valley Taschachtal.
