The peak is located in country Austria 3 km south-southwest from the center of Katsch an der Mur and 3 km west-southwest from the center of Frojach and 2 km west-northwest of peak Mühlsteinboden. The nearest mountain hut is Grebenzenhaus, located 9km south-southeast. Closer is Franz-Kenda-Hütte, which is located 7km to the west-northwest. The peak is located north of the valley Metnitztal.
