Description:
Scheffauer is 2111 meter high peak with a cross and a summit register in the Kaiser Mountains. The peak is located 3 km west of peak Kopfkraxen. The nearest mountain hut is Kaindlhütte, located 1.5km northwest. A little further is hunting cottage Kerneckhütte (Jagdhütte). 3 km southwest of the peak there is lake Hintersteiner See.
