Description:
Schmaritzenkogel is 1364 meter high peak and is part of the Gurktal Alps. The peak is located 1.4 km east-northeast from the center of Hundsdorf and 3 km north-northwest from the center of Engelsdorf. The nearest mountain hut is Hirnbodenhütte, located 15km west. A bit closer is hunting cottage Galgenberg Jagdhütte, which is located 2km to the southwest. Northwest of the summit is the valley Metnitztal.
