Schwarzenberg is 1047 meter high peak and is part of the Ybbstal Alps. The peak is located 3 km southeast from the center of Gaming and 3 km south-southeast from the center of Pockau. The nearest mountain hut is Ötscherschutzhaus, located 8km southeast. A bit closer is Jagdhütte, which is located 2km to the west-southwest. West-northwest of the summit is the valley Wiesergraben.
