Strenitzkogel is 1483 meter high peak and is part of the Hochschwab Mountains. The peak is located 1.9 km southeast of peak Hochblaser. The nearest mountain hut is Gsollhütte, located 7km east-southeast. Closer is Hasenkeusche, which is located 1.4km to the east. 2.0 km west-southwest of the peak there is lake Leopoldsteiner See. North-northwest of the summit is the valley Frenzgraben.
