The peak is located in country Austria 5 km north-northwest from the center of Eisenerz and 8 km southwest from the center of Hinterwildalpen. The nearest mountain hut is Hochalmhütte, located 9km south. Closer is bivouac Münichtal Almrauschstraße, which is located 3km to the south. 1.9 km south of the peak there is lake Leopoldsteiner See. The peak is located south-southeast of the valley Frenzgraben.
