The peak is located 4 km northwest from the center of Sankt Gallen and 4 km west from the center of Weißenbach an der Enns and 5 km south of peak Bodenwies. The nearest mountain hut is Schüttbauernalm, located 4km north. A little further is bivouac St. Gallen Steiner. The peak is located west-southwest of the valley Frenzgraben.
