Vertainspitze - Cima Vertana

Description:
Vertainspitze - Cima Vertana is 3545 meter high peakon which a cross stands in the National Park Stelvio. The peak is located 4 km east-northeast from the center of Sulden - Solda and 9 km south from the center of Tschengls - Cengles. The nearest mountain hut is Düsseldorfer Hütte (Zaytalhütte) - Rifugio Serristori, located 2.0km northwest. A little further is bivouac bench. 8 km east-southeast of the peak there is lake Zufritt-Stausee - Lago di Gioveretto. 1.6 km south-southeast from the summit there is glacier Rosimferner - Vedretta di Rosim, 1.9 km northeast from the summit there is also glacier Ofenwandferner/Vedretta del Forno. The peak is located east-northeast of the valley Suldental.
