Vrhovnikov vrh is 529 meter high peak located in the Karawanks mountain range. The peak is located 3 km east-southeast of peak Skorno. The nearest mountain hut is Planinski dom na Gori Oljki, located 5km south. A little further is hunting cottage Lovska koča na Bezovcu. 1.6 km northeast of the peak there is lake Družimirsko jezero. The peak is located west-southwest of the valley Mislinjski jarek.
