Yesterday my better half and I went on a nice Sunday trip to Ratitovec. We chose the route via Poden (Povden). There was some snow on the path, but it's well trodden and crampons aren't needed. On the descent, you need to be careful, as due to southern snow there's risk of slip and fall on your rear . In that case crampons or "spikes" or careful steps are recommended. Janez
