Impression of Perseids during moonset over Mangart saddle in August 2016 The sun peeks out from behind the ridge between Dovški križ and Široka peč. Morning insanely beautiful - look east, 1h before sunrise from 2530 m altitude Sketch of the entire via ferrata Ožarjeni kamen. Morning awakens below M. Oltar (guys will add plenty of details here). Evening Triglav with dvojka in the foreground. Chamois being chased - practically waited for me at every crossing from Škrnatarica. and view of the morning-illuminated Jalovec. night over Kriški podi (yes! I didnt mistake, full moon and 30s exposure time plus 90 stacked images make it) On the other side towards Oltar, Rokav and Očak everything is in scarlet hues. sunbathing in the moonlight before the bivouac under Kotovo sedlo Then panorama 8 min before sunrise And the famous wall still from Škrlaticas shoulder. and night view from the bivouac towards Očak. entire Martuljški venec in the palm - panorama from top of Široka peč Wall of Financarji / Žandarji above Kotel. From it a dramatic view towards Srednji Rokav. Of course the first among equals - the connecting ridge between the Rokavs and Škrlatica with Financarji in all its beauty. first view of Ojstrica after winds blew off its foggy cap during descent on Amalia views involuntarily stray also to Viš (and the tour just under a month ago) Classic view through the window in the ridge between Škrnatarica and Dovški križ (towards Široka peč). with magnificent views of Srebnjak and Trentski pelci .. and view of Triglav ... near the last col before DK. View from MKM is wonderful (this is towards the east). southern panorama in front of the bivouac with a view of the Mojstrovke-Travnik-Šite ridge and Jalovec Roman road above Martuljek in front of bivouac III Self-portrait on Oltar 2 min after sunrise. And one panorama approx 0.5h before sunrise, a bit higher as always - evening before dvojko with the best possible view this is how it looks from behind Aka towards Široka peč and around it poetry of the brook I just cant look at them enough. From the top of Oltar, view of the northern ridges of the Julijci... a garland of great ones in sequence. Usually beautiful pearls of water droplets this time (over)soaked my shoes. Jalovec in the first morning rays morning Amphitheater downwards sun peeks from behind Škrnatarica Amphitheater panorama female chamois with a curious kid crossing towards Mala Ojstrica and view on Korošica and Dedec here the upper part above Belvedere is better seen until we enter the ramp - there is lots of space and plenty of options of all difficulties of course all the way to the last passage to Belvedere View of Očak and morning above it In Kotel something is brewing (but the soup wont be fully cooked this time). And back towards the high little brother. In Škrbina a view of the latter... And also my next goal: V. Rokav. View from the grassy section before the final ascent to the junction with the path to Mangrt (from Mangrt saddle). Bivouac Busteini (above Zagače) in evening glow.
