Hello. I'm about to buy a Soft-shell jacket and I'm interested in your opinions and experiences with using it. Which brand do you wear, what materials it's made of.... Thanks in advance. Best, Matic

Hello.

On Saturday 4.8.2007 we headed to Peca. We chose the very demanding route and I must say we don't regret it. The path to the wall climbs very quickly. The path is fairly safe, however you have to watch every step. It was very adrenaline-pumping and very soon I'll repeat this tour again. We descended via the easier path. Lp, matic

Hello. I use pro-vreme.net. So far I haven't been wrong once. I recommend.

Thanks for the reply. We most likely missed the route at the first cables. Probably should have crossed the gully and continued on the left. We went straight up (direct). I'll post some pics for better idea. Would appreciate if you can help find the right path. Also with pics.

My brother and I were also on Peca today via the very demanding route. First few meters still have cables then they disappear. Since we thought we had to go straight up the gully we got properly fucked up. The path is very dangerous, crumbly.... When we luckily reached the top of the gully, we then fucked around with low bushes to get through them. Wondering if there was some rockfall or avalanche there that erased every trace of cables and pegs??? Since I was on this climbing route last year and passed it easily and FOUND it, I don't get what happened today..... I'm pissed off like crazy

Went to Gornik and ordered custom softshell. Now just waiting to get it. Will let you know how it performs.

Forgot to write that the last decisive ascent to Mali Stol is over scree and one needs to be quite careful. Good luck all

Hello everyone. I'll describe our 3-day tour more precisely.
We had two cars. One we drove to Valvasor House under Stol, with the other to the foothills under Golica (left the car where the cargo cableway is). From there on foot to the hut under Golica took a good hour. Slept there and continued next morning to Stol. Path very nice, ascends slowly and almost unnoticeably. Saw many pastures the path winds through. Can't say exactly which path, just that we went over Vajnež scree. Well marked but recommend special Karawanks map. Golica to Stol 8 hours moderate walk incl breaks. After 8 hrs to Prešeren Hut on Stol. Slept there too, next morning down to Valvasor Hut under Stol. Descended Zabreška path (locals call it Horse path too). Descent ~3 hrs. Great weather, but fog on Stol summit missed great view. Best, mati

Hello.
I walked this tour but in the opposite direction. The path is very nice but also very long. We walked a bit more than 8 hours with breaks.
